Art should be fun and accessible!

In the spirit of making Art Basel a little more affordable to everyone, we’ve created the Basel Art Summer Camp: a community-led initiative running parallel to the art week’s festivities. We’re providing a platform for emerging artists to stay in Basel and showcase their work during this art-filled week. And inviting art enthusiasts (like you), to immerse themselves in the experience and offer a place where they can view, enjoy and buy art, which varies in budget ranges.

The exhibition space will be in Hyve Hostel’s recpetion and lobby area. Join us for 3 days of art workshops, live mural drawing, an opening reception, gallery space… and more!

Friday, 14th June, 13:00 – Cookies & Kunst:
During the day on Friday, the Basel local cookie producers from Baked by Milo will be selling their delicious creations at Hyve

Friday, 14th June, 14:00 – 16:00 – Workshop with the artist Lex Lee:
Participate in exclusive workshop by one of our participating artists. Join the Dreaming up in the Cloud Workshop with UK artist Lex Lee. RSVP required.

Friday, 14th June, 18:30 – Guided Tour of the Exhibition with CreativeMornings Basel:
Join the CreativeMornings Basel team on a guided tour of the Basel Art Summer Camp. RSVP required.

Saturday, 15th June, 13:00 – Flash Tattoos with Buzzy Bee:
Let your body become the canvas with the creations by tattoo artist Buzzy Bee. Two RSVP slots available and walk-ins welcome. Yes, the flash tattoos will be available in the Art Vending Machine.

Saturday, 15th June, 14:00 – Workshop with the artist Maggie Williams:
Participate in an exclusive workshop run by one our our participating artists. Join the Happy Accidents Collage Workshop with UK artist Maggie Williams. RSVP required. Limited space.

Saturday, 15th June, 16:00 – Wickelfisch Workshop
Join us in designing the Wickelfisch for the summer of 2025. For young and old alike! RSVP required. Limited space.
