Shota Nakamura: each passing day

Shota Nakamura balances between visual abundance and quiet restraint, his works unfold worlds lush in color and dense in detail and texture, with sensual and curving lines where the borders of discrete bodies are softened and blurred. In 2011 Nakamura received his BFA at the Musashino Art University in the painting program. Recent solo exhibitions include Walking, Ilwoo Space, Seoul, dear moon, Peres Projects and I Am Bird, I Am Tree, Open Forum in Berlin. He also participated in group exhibitions Male Nudes: a salon from 1800 to 2021, Mendes Wood DM, Sao Paulo and Rose Is A Rose Is A Rose, Jack Hanley Gallery, New York. In 2022, he will present his second solo exhibition at Peres Projects.
