FOLLOWERS is a student exhibition of the HEAR, which wants to explore the new forms and new status of the image in the era of social networks.

If technological evolution generates a flow of immaterial and ephemeral images, the new producers and users of the image impose on it a new immediacy and sharing that modifies the very status of this image.

About the invention of photography in its primitive form of the daguerreotype, Charles Baudelaire wrote: „A madness, an extraordinary fanaticism seized all these new worshipers of the sun. „: Today, via Instagram, followers and worshipers are legion … So what image do we produce and for what exhibition?
