June is a gallery-led international art fair and exhibition platform with open format that has taken place annually since 2019. It was founded by galleries as an alternative, intergenerational, fair-week experience that welcomes a connoisseur and new audience alike.

A brief walk from Messeplatz, June takes place in an iconic concrete bunker that has been beautifully transformed into a gallery by Pritzker Prize winning architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron. Its modest scale and convenient location, in close proximity to Messeplatz and Art Basel, are notable attributes that make it a key destination during Basel Art Week.

This year 12 galleries and 20 artists from 10 countries will be present with their projects.

Returning galleries in 2024 include VI, VII (Oslo), Christian Andersen (Copenhagen), Hagiwara Projects (Tokyo), The Green Gallery (Milwaukee), Parisa Kind (Frankfurt), Misako & Rosen (Tokyo) and Jacky Strenz (Frankfurt). PROVENCE, an artist-led, trans-European publishing house and agency for contemporary art, returns with a painting-based installation that plunders the collective’s archive while offering a tongue-in-cheek perspective on participation in corporate structures.

New participants include Cento (Glasgow), Lagune Ouest (Copenhagen), Magician Space (Beijing), PALAS (Sydney) and Property Holdings Development Group (PHD Group), a Hong Kong based gallery with a focus on critical engagement, research, and collaborative practice.
