Joseph LEUNG Mong Sum: The State Of Being Dragged

The State Of Being Dragged – The artworks exhibited for the first time in Basel by Hong Kong artist Joseph LEUNG Mong Sum explore various forms of anxiety experienced when being dragged along physically, politically and digitally. In the face of this, adapting to friction of various kinds seems to be the only way out to overcome these fears. The exhibition is part of lotsremark Project’s artist-in-residence programme.

Die erstmals in Basel ausgestellten Werke des Hongkonger Künstlers Joseph LEUNG Mong Sum erforschen verschiedene Formen der Angst, die man erlebt, wenn man physisch, politisch und digital ‚mitgeschleift‘ oder ‚mitgezogen‘ wird. Angesichts dessen scheint die Anpassung an Schwierigkeiten verschiedener Art der einzige Ausweg zu sein, um diese Ängste zu überwinden. Die Ausstellung ist Teil des Artist-in-Residence-Programms von lotsremark Projekte.
