Strausberger Platz 19 | Berlin | Art Region: Berlin, Friedrichshain

June is located in the historic neoclassical Hermann Henselmann towers at Strausberger Platz in Berlin. June opened in 2017 with a focus on performance art, hosting performances, as well as screenings, discussions and collaborations. Initiated by Marie-Christine Molitor, these performances were undocumented, archived only via accompanying texts, a selection of which are collected here. After a pause in programming in 2020 due to Covid-19, Camila McHugh joined June as the the space shifted its focus in 2021 to explore a new direction in juxtaposing historical and contemporary positions, with a particular interest in performance art of the Central and Eastern European neo-avant-garde, as well as continuing to exhibit Berlin-based artists.
